Everyone is invited to a special Mass that will be celebrated on Friday, February 10th, at 11:00 am on the occasion of the World Day of the Sick. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered to those “whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age.” A wonderful luncheon will be served immediately follow the Mass in the parish hall. This event is better known as the Annual Senior’s Valentine Luncheon sponsored by the Women’s Guild. All Seniors (55 & older) are encouraged to attend this special luncheon with comedian “Whit” Whitley for your entertainment. Don’t miss this great afternoon of food, fun, laughter and entertainment! To register call Ann Borsuk in the Parish office (704-720-0600) before February 6th. There is no charge—we only want to see your smiling face!

 ASH WEDNESDAY February 22nd, is quickly approching.
The Mass Schedule is as follows: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM 6:30 PM 8:00 PM (Spanish)
All parishioners are asked to please bring in your old palms and place them in the bin in the vestibule of the church no later than Sunday, Feb 19. These palms will be burned and used during our Ash Wednesday Masses.

 CRHP Retreats start again in February 2012! Answers to: What you need to know! Why do I want to go, Who may attend, Where will I sleep, What will I eat, Who facilitates the retreat, Will I get to Mass? are all found in the brochure. Click Here to view or download the brochure/registration form. Fill it out and drop into the box in the vestibule of the church or mail to the church office.
All parishioners 19 years of age and older are encouraged to attend a CRHP weekend. The retreats are held in the St James Parish Hall and are presented by our own St James Parish teams. The classrooms are transformed into the quit comfortable St. James Hilton with air mattresses, cots sleeping bags and showering facilities. Meals are free and all preparation, cooking and clean up is conducted by the volunteers from earlier CHRP Teams. You don’t even have to do dishes. (All effort is extended to accommodate special needs issues.)
Come prepared to have fun and renew your heart.The process is centered around reflection by team members with emphasis on small group discussion and activities. You will be free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Sacraments are part of the weekend along with plenty of reflection and prayer time.
